Applications
Stainless steel shield is the main part to shield bearing which is a rolling bearing with shields on one or both sides. The inner and outer rings and rolling elements of rolling bearings are made of high strength and wear-resistant chromium manganese high carbon steel with high hardness, and the working surface is required to be friction polished; the cage is made of soft materials, and low-carbon steel is commonly used.
Shields and seals are protective closures that retain lubricants and assist in preventing contaminants from reaching internal surfaces. In torque-sensitive applications, it may be advantageous to use shields rather than seals because there are no contacting surfaces to create drag.
